secret problems
We can become sidetracked with too many details about the content of a problem.
Some clients will require that we listen to all the details, while others are happy to get straight to the solution.
For me, the important question here is "For whose sake are we asking for details about the problem?"
If it's for our sake, for our comfort, for out security then it's worth putting less attention on it.
If it's for the client's sake, then let's do it.
In the video below, there are 2 short examples where my wife, Gabrielle Peacock, and I played with not disclosing what a problem was, and we both reached a very satisfactory resolution.

Thanks to you both for sharing this clip, listening and observing is a great way to learn more about this practice.
I appreciate the concept of looking at a problem as ironic and laughing at them was good feeling Not even having to directly mention what they are and gaining the trust of the client so that they are willing to talk about them indirectly or not was an eye opener. Feeling both like a client and a therapist was a good learning experience and made me realise nothing is really insurmountable it just depends on your skills, resources and willingness.
I listened to your voices different ears on my headphones and I believe the volume difference between you both was just a matter of technique. I found your wife saying less, much more quietly with a lot of mm sounds but this approach seemed gentler an more nurturing but by the same token Rob your style was louder but more demonstrative and humorous which also relaxed me and madam feel good. An interesting exercise which was fun. I can relate to the elevated heels back in the 70's (and the colour purple) so it resonated with me.
I then listened with the audio in each ear going at different times conflicting with the video and after a while I just accepted the confusion and i feel it went through the gates even more successfully. mmmmm........Yes......

It can be ordinary - just an extension of the common everyday trance, and if a client askes for hypnosis it's important that we define the experience as hypnosis. Pdeople have been pondering what hypnosis "IS" with no resolution, so let's assume that it is an experience with focus and ab sorption that we can agree to by hypnosis. We can save a logt of anxtg that way.
It was interesting how not even discusssing the issue led to release and freedom that had transferred from from other real issues in life. There was still a lot inward focusing and communication seem to come from many different levels.
Was Gabrielle's microphone not working ? Rob comes through very clearly, but I can hardly hear Gabrielle.
